THE WALK

Route

The Workington to Keswick Charity Walk starts at Workington British Legion. From there the walk heads out towards Lillyhall, through Branthwaite and Ullock, along Loweswater to the Lorton Valley, by Crummock Water and Buttermere, over Honister Pass, through Seatoller and Rosthwaite and then continues along the Borrowdale Valley, on to and through Keswick to finish at: The Rawnsley Centre

Day of the Walk

Check-in: Registration is open from 7:30am to 8:30am in the Royal Legion Workington. It is recommended that you do not arrive too much before this time! It is also worth noting there is also limited parking at the start so you may need to park a distance away. This year we are again having a very limited number of on the day entries as it is becoming too difficult to deal with the influx of people on the morning of the walk. To avoid disappointment we highly suggest you pre-register. If you change your mind or are unable to do the walk for whatever reason please let us know as soon as possible to help us reduce wastage at checkpoints.

Sponsors

Since the beginning of this event we have not charged an entry fee. We therefore ask for a minimum sponsorship of £60 per person, ideally with the aim to raise AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE! All sponsors must be handed into the Treasurer (details on the fundraising page) and you must not distribute sponsors to your own charity or directly to any of our chosen charities.
The total distance is just over 32 miles with five checkpoints: THE WALK THE WALK Start: Workington British Legion
